The Only Swimwear Brands Worth Packing

In the past week, I've convinced not one but two friends to purchase an almost-$200 swimsuit.

Before you accuse me of being a bad influence, hear me out. Swimwear is one of the few categories where I've found that spending a bit more often pays off. The right suit fits better, holds up longer, and has the power to make you feel exponentially more confident the moment you put it on.

Of course, not every pricey swimsuit is worth the investment. Over the years, I've purchased plenty of duds alongside the standouts. After plenty of trial and error, I've developed a roster of brands I trust. These are the swimsuits labels that make it into my suitcase trip after trip.

Ahead, the swimwear brands I actually wear.

Hunza G

Few swimwear brands have achieved cult status quite like Hunza G. Instantly recognizable for its signature crinkle-stretch fabric, the London-based label has built a devoted following thanks to its famously comfortable, one-size-fits-most approach. The swimsuits are flattering, timeless, and surprisingly versatile, making them a favorite among fashion insiders and frequent travelers alike.

Solid & Striped

Solid & Striped consistently delivers the kind of timeless swimwear that never feels out of place. The brand's clean lines, classic color palettes, and understated silhouettes give its pieces a polished, elevated feel that transcends seasonal trends. Whether you're lounging at a beach club in Europe or spending the afternoon by the neighborhood pool, these are swimsuits you'll reach for year after year.

Beach Riot

If swimwear had a fun side, it would look a lot like Beach Riot. Known for its playful colors, bold prints, and fashion-forward silhouettes, the Los Angeles brand strikes the perfect balance between sporty and stylish. While its swimsuits are undeniably trend-conscious, they never feel overly trendy, making them just as wearable poolside as they are on a tropical vacation.

Good American

When it comes to fit, few brands do it better than Good American. Founded with inclusivity at its core, the label offers an extensive size range without sacrificing style. From sleek one-pieces to classic bikinis, the swimsuits are supportive, flattering, and thoughtfully designed, proving that great swimwear should be available to everybody.
